New Zealand Boots are unique and made from natures finest materials, which gives the highest level of comfort. However, this also means that the boots are sensible to rough or excessive usage. It is therefore important to treat New Zealand Boots gently and with consideration. The boots should not be used in muddy or very wet environments, neither for sports.
Sheepskin is a natural product, so variations in colour and texture may well occur. This is a characteristic of fine sheepskin and adds to the beauty and character of the footwear. Colours may change or bleach if boots become very wet or exposed to prolonged direct sunlight.
Treat your boots with a water- and stain repellent to ensure maximum protection before use and after cleaning.
You can clean your boots using a special sheepskin-cleaning agent – preferably a lanoli product. Wet the entire boot in lukewarm water and clean thoroughly with a soft brush or sponge, added a small amount of sheepskin cleaner. Hand wash only – do not use a washing machine or spin. Rinse thoroughly in lukewarm water. Reshape the boot by stuffing with paper towel or other water absorbing paper. Allow drying slowly – do not dry in direct sunlight or in a heated place. It may take a couple of days – you can replace the paper towel if necessary.
The boot scan also be dry-cleaned professionally.
